On-going Awareness Campaigns

  • Information Security and You: Learn. Know. Protect.
This series of online educational videos, produced by The SANS Institute, is available via ANGEL to Penn State students, faculty, and staff. The videos have been designed to provide quick, effective awareness messages about a variety of information security-focused topics, such as creating strong passwords, using social media tools more safely, wireless security, smartphone/handheld security, as well as policies and laws.
  • Be Safe
Be Safe is an on-going ITS awareness campaign addressing how to protect your digital identity and your computer from threats such as viruses, spyware, and phishing scams.
  • Phishing Awareness
The goal of a phishing scam is to steal your valuable personal data, such as credit card numbers, passwords, account data, and other information. Phishing Awareness is part of the Be Safe campaign that promotes awareness on how to watch out for these scams.
